SOTUTA DE PEÓN HACIENDA VIVA

UXMAL
The Mayan town of Uxmal, in Yucatán, was founded c. A.D. 700 and had some 25,000 inhabitants. The layout of the buildings, which date from between 700 and 1000, reveals a knowledge of astronomy. The Pyramid of the Soothsayer, as the Spaniards called it, dominates the ceremonial centre, which has well-designed buildings decorated with a profusion of symbolic motifs and sculptures depicting Chaac, the god of rain. The ceremonial sites of Uxmal, Kabah, Labna and Sayil are considered the high points of Mayan art and architecture.
CHOCO - STORY / UXMAL
A few minutes from Uxmal is the Museum of Chocolate, known as Choco Story at Uxmal; With a focus that goes to the interactive side, where you are the protagonist of the visit, framed by towering trees and endemic species such as cocoa ceiba, achiote, and balché jabín.
The museum also is a showcase of native plants and wildlife Yucatan; jaguars, spider monkeys and white-tailed deer can be seen during the tour.

CELESTUN
The Celestun Biosphere Reserve gives refuge and sustenance to the colorful colonies of flamingos that paint the sky pink at dusk and dawn.
CHICHEN ITZA
Chichén Itzá was the most important city in Mayan culture during the late Classic and early Postclassic periods, between 900 to 1300 A.D. During the early Classic period, it was the capital of a wide region, when the Puuc style buildings were built. With the arrival of the Itzáes, by the end of that period, a new style was created, which mixed Mayan traditions with the contributions of the newcomers.
RUTA PUUC
The Puuc Route, or Ruta Puuc, is an interesting and obligatory trip when you come to Yucatán. Just 80 km. south of Mérida, this is a do-able day trip. On this route there are Maya sites (Uxmal, Kabah, Sayil, X-Lapak, Labna), the caves of Loltún, haciendas (must-see frozen in time Yaxcopoil museum (75 pesos), Ochil restaurant/museum, Temozon boutique hotel/restaurant), cenotes, Maya villages, and larger Maya city/towns (Ticul, Oxkutzcab).
CENOTE HOMUN
Homun village is located in one of the main areas of cenotes, so it's possible to find them of various types and shapes all with clear water and different colors besides you can visit the colonial church and the convent of Homun and know the traditional life of a Yucatecan village.
